| Piece of Shh... |
Piece of Shh… is a dubstep project by Belgrade-based sound engineer and music producer Goran Simonoski. He’s remixed for Sutekh and released on Earsugar (Berlin), Cosmic Sounds (London), rx-tx (Ljubljana) and Public Records (San Francisco), as well as sharing stages with luminaries like Digital Mystikz, Mrk1, Loefah, The Bug, and Modeselektor. He started Piece of Shh… as P.o.S in 2003, with the track Wicked Inspiration appearing on the compilation Belgrade Coffee Shop, and further pieces on three rx:tx compilations. Piece of Shh.. plays regularly at Svetlana Industries nights in Belgrade.
Simonski (1973) is a longstanding member of Belgradeyard Soundsystem, a jazz influenced collective of producers and live musicians who launched the Dis-patch festival in 2002. The Soundsystem core, Simonski and partner in crime Relja Bobić are well known for their radio show on B-92 radio (since 1999) and gigs at Belgrade's clubs. The collective produces music for the London-based Cosmic Sounds label, and only recently started touring as a live band with Simonoski and Bobić on programming, Ivan Antić on double bass and more recently Jamal Al Kiswani on saxophone and Andreja Mirić doing live video manipulations.
